Jordan holds two directorship roles at Bridges for Enterprise, a pro-bono consulting and advisory service that aids social enterprise startups in the developing world.
As Director of Consulting and Co-Director of Financial Advisory, he manages three project management teams of 20 people working with clients wishing to scale up or enter new markets.
Current clients include a Pakistani firm seeking sustainable ways to upcycle industrial waste, Africa’s financial literacy platform in Nigeria, and a Kenyan grassroots organisation that builds cook-stoves for rural Kenyans.
By identifying structural issues with the cook-stoves and redesigning them, Jordan and his team have increased the start-up’s revenue projections by 20 per cent for the next financial year. In addition, he is the Co-Founder of Gonville and Caius Land Economy Society, which hosts events such as the Black and Minority Ethnic Conference, with invited ex-land economics discussing their
career pathways with Cambridge students. Society membership has increased from four to 20.
With immediate plans to rest and fully recover from an illness, Jordan plans to use the time to delve into his interest in blockchain.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I want to do something that I feel happy doing; law or consulting are probably two fields that piqued my interest, but as of right now, I’m undecided.
