When Noel became the second-ever Black President of his Cambridge college’s JCR in 2023, it marked not just a personal achievement, but a commitment to opening doors for others.
Growing up in East London, [Name] never imagined Cambridge was within reach. With average GCSE results and teachers doubting his ability to get into Oxbridge, he turned that doubt into determination. “It became a mission for me,” he recalls. That drive paid off, and once at Cambridge, he dedicated himself to helping others from underrepresented and non-traditional backgrounds see the same possibilities.
As JCR President, he manages a student council of 30, sits on committees with senior academics, and even has a say in multimillion-pound renovation projects — sharpening his leadership and financial acumen.
Entrepreneurship is also a defining thread in his journey. At 17, he founded Delta Edits, a video media consultancy serving clients from gyms to private equity firms. The agency has built a 65% customer retention rate, with 94% of clients signing four-month contracts. Average client media interaction has risen by 67%, directly translating into higher sales revenues. With a team of 20, Delta Edits now generates several thousand pounds in monthly turnover, funding his studies and growth ambitions.
Looking ahead, he hopes to scale ventures further, then channel that success into social impact — empowering young people who, like him, once doubted they could aim so high.
