Investor, serial entrepreneur, technology executive and award-winning author, Eric Collins is renowned for his innovation and success in building the value of digital businesses.

In 2018, he co-founded the diversity-focused venture capital firm Impact X Capital Partners. In 2023, it was announced that Impact X had launched its second fund to invest in under-represented entrepreneurs in Europe, the UK and beyond. In February last year, Impact X partnered with Microsoft to launch Impact X-Venture Studio, providing start-ups with funding and tools to accelerate their businesses.

Collins remains CEO of Impact X and sits on the boards of companies and organisations across the US and the UK.

His debut book, We Don’t Need Permission: How Black Business Can Change Our World, won the Highly Commended award in the Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality sector in the Business Book Awards 2023. He has also been featured as a writer at the Oxford Book Festival and Black British Book Festival.

A sought-after keynote speaker and panellist, he has received numerous speaking requests from the likes of Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and the University of Oxford, as well as in countries including the US and Singapore.

In 2020, Collins was picked to front new Channel 4 show The Money Maker – described as ‘The Apprentice meets Dragons’ Den’. It marked the first time a black person had fronted a UK primetime business show.

Collins also co-led the Contested Heritage Committee of Southwark Cathedral and is an Executive Producer for Philomela’s Chorus – a UK initiative which underwrites the making of short films by artists who identify as black women.
