After 18 years at the helm of his global digital media and marketing business Jellyfish, last year it was snapped up by The Brandtech Group and Rob Pierre stepped down as CEO to pursue new ambitions.

The acquisition marked one of the advertising industry’s largest and most significant digital agency deals – creating the largest digital-only marketing group in the world, with more than $1billion in revenue and 7,000-plus employees working for eight out of ten of the world’s largest advertisers.

Pierre established the company in 2005 and it quickly became one of Britain’s fastest-growing marketing businesses, employing more than 2,250 employees across 42 global offices and counting
the likes of Google, Netflix and Nike as clients. Now keen to focus on projects with wider societal impact, he is co-owner, alongside BBC broadcaster and actor Greg McKenzie, of the Inside Out Project – the UK’s first clothing brand created, designed and hand produced by young ex-offenders.

Pierre has invested £400,000 into the enterprise, which offers employment to ex-offenders and aims to demonstrate their potential to contribute and succeed.

He recently also became an adviser and investor in MyFirst, the young-driver insurance specialists, as well as ufurnish.com, a search and comparison website for home furniture and furnishings.
Pierre continues to be a contributor to the international speaker circuit, business and future of work podcasts, and national and industry Press – including a fireside chat with Eric Collins at the
Generation Growth event with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme, and The Agency Collective’s Future Proofing Your Agency 2024 event.

He is also a trustee of mental health charity The Lucy Rayner Foundation.
